After finishing their meals Luna decides now is the best time to start building Lindy’s communication and potty skills. Lindy is a great sport and puts up with her mothers silly games.
Rosemary Glimmerbrook recently moved to the mystical little town she shares a name with, she bought an old converted barn with a lot of space both inside and out. Inside their is spacious living area including a a large upstairs perfect for raising children. Outside is a large yard with a garden space that’s ready to be filled. Perhaps she can make money buy selling things she crafts or grows in the garden. Painting is also something she show’s an interest in.
Exhausted from moving in Rosemary decided to take a nap, she dreamed of a realm not of this world. One where magic and wonder came alive. In this dream she was greeted by an older woman, who told her that she was not a mortal and that Rosemary carried strong magic inside of herself, magic that deserved to be awoken.
[and thus the watcher turned her into a spellcaster! woo!]
The next morning Rosemary discovered she now had the same magical powers from her dream. She was now a Spellcaster. She spent the next week or so learning to control her power, using it to do simple tasks around the house. She even met some other spellcasters in her neighborhood, apparently Glimmerbrook was also a cover to hide the realm of magic.
So with that Rosemary sets to work on learning a bit of Practical Magic and Alchemy. She is grateful to the gifts she now possesses but it doesn’t change her original dream of having a large house full of kids. So she decides that she’ll begin adopting at the soonest opportunity. The first two children to enter the Glimmerbrook house are Madelyn and Aden. Taking care of two newborns isn’t an easy task, but Rosemary enjoys every bit of time she spends with these little ones. She takes the time while they’re asleep to work on making some money from selling a few paintings and also makes sure to continue practicing the mystical arts.
With Jasper at work and Felix at school Luna looks after Lindy. Lindy finds plenty of toys to keep herself entertained until her mother calls her for some lunch.
Meet Rosemary Glimmerbrook, a long lost descendant of the founders of the town she shared a name with. In search of a peaceful quiet life she decided to buy an old converted barn turned house and move from the big city to the peaceful [and mystical] Glimmerbrook. She always wanted to find out more of her familial roots because she had never known her parents and so she hoped to find out more about herself, but also maybe give other children a home to call their own.
I hope you all will like Rosemary and my little spin on the 100 baby challenge! I wanted to do this challenge but in my own way, I didn’t really like the idea of a traditional 100 baby challenge so I decided that I’d make my own rules. In this challenge Rosemary will not be having and children of her own, however she will have to follow most of the rules from the original challenge.
My Guidelines For The Challenge
- Rosemary must not have a normal job, but she can make money through various crafting or careers that don’t cause her to have to leave the lot.
- Rosemary can hire a nanny once a week [though she must be able to afford it], this day will be known as her “me time”. It will happen on Sunday.
- Rosemary must adopt between 1-3 babies every week on Saturday until the household is full. If she doesn’t have the funds to do so she will have to give up her “me time” on Sunday.
- She may also have a chance once a season to wish for a child at the wishing well. [Due to the magical nature of Glimmerbrook and the fact she is a Spellcaster] This child will be considered her biological child through magic and they must become spellcasters when teens. It however won’t count towards the 100 adoptions.
- Fridays are for a family outing! This is mostly for me to be able to get my sims out of the house or they’ll never leave.
- If Rosemary is able to max out a toddlers skills, giving them the “Top-Notch Toddler” Trait as a child she will receive a reward from the magical spirits of Glimmerbrook giving her $500 however if even one skill is below level 3 she won’t get anything.
- I will focus on each child’s interest and help them build the skills necessary for them to either go into the career of their choice or go to university when they become young adults. This will give me a bit of a change to write out where their lives might head once they leave the nest.
So that’s it for my own personal way I’ll be playing through this, I’ll also be following the official challenge rules loosely! I can’t wait for the stories that’ll unfold for this challenge.
Lindy’s first night in her toddler bed didn’t god very well. She woke up due to a nightmare and went to her big brother for comfort. Thankfully Jasper had to get up to use the bathroom and quickly put both the children back to bed.
Lindy becomes a toddler and she’s totally adorable! [I’m also torn on who I want to be the heir since I’m gonna go with my heart instead of following the first born rule!]
Lindy Willow! Welcome to the family little one. Both Noodle and Felix are very protective of this little one.
With her first semester coming to a close Maya takes some time to hangout with Knox and the two quickly hit it off and get very flirty. Maya also has saved up enough money from sell her paintings she has finally decided to keep one for herself.
As the weeks go by Felix completes many school assignments and projects with the help of his parents. He also joins the scouts in an attempt to make some more friends his own age. Luna also discovers she’s pregnant with their second child and is excited to find Felix is eager to a big brother.
[I am so excited for this little family! ^.^]
Felix decided to make a mess with some paint on the front porch and got caught red handed by his mother who promptly scolded him. [The look on his face when she scolded him was priceless]
